Managing Director, Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Richards is a Managing Director of Inlet Capital Management, LLC and its Chief Financial Officer. In such capacity, he is responsible for among other things, capital raising, financial controls and investor reporting. He has over 30 years experience in a variety of senior management, finance and real estate roles. Before Inlet he spent three years as Executive Vice President and CFO of DynamicCity, Inc., a telecommunications consulting company that constructs high capacity fiber optic networks. Prior to that, for nine years Mr. Richards was President and Chief Executive Officer of Baker & Taylor Inc., a $1.1 billion international wholesale distributor of books, videos and music. Before Baker & Taylor, Mr. Richards was a Managing Director in the Real Estate Group of the Wall Street investment-banking firm, Bear Stearns & Co. where he spent six years. Prior to Bear Stearns, Mr. Richards spent ten years in a variety of financial roles at Marriott Corporation, a leading provider of lodging and food services where he was Vice President of Project Finance and closed financings totaling over six billion dollars in asset value. Mr. Richards began his career with two years on the audit staff of the public accounting firm Arthur Andersen & Co. Mr. Richards has completed the executive management program at Harvard Business School and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brigham Young University.
